Everywhere you look you see the same hats, the same designs, with a different company logo stitched on. We wanted to change that.
With our hats, nothing is rushed. Every design starts by hand. It’s drawn, argued over, redrawn, and debated about (many times) before it ever touches a hat. Only once it’s right do we build it into a mock-up and start working with our suppliers to make sure it comes out how we envisioned it.
This long process is intentional. It’s what gives our hats their character, their quality, and their originality. Designs you won’t find anywhere else.
Every partner has a say in every logo we create, right down to the last thread. No shortcuts. No off-the-shelf graphics. Just ideas everyone at Rangelands can get behind.
Our inspiration comes from Canada’s wilderness and its instantly recognizable symbols. Every photo you see on this site is taken by one of us at Rangelands. Just like all of our designs are done by us.

- The Partners at Rangelands
HOW IT STARTED.
Rangelands was created in January 2025 by three friends who grew up together in British Columbia. The partners had some design experience and wanted to put their skills to the test to see if they could produce some high quality hats with unique and meaningful designs. As each of the partners are now branching off into their own different careers, they wanted to build something that would allow them to work together and stay connected.
Sharing a love of Canada, the trio was inspired to showcase the True North’s natural beauty and sought to incorporate its themes into their designs. They set off with planning, drafting, and editing blueprints for their hats, going through multiple iterations before reaching consensus on their first hats that they would take to market, now known as the "Essentials Collection".
Once sampling was complete, they were impressed by the quality and details of the hats. After wearing them out and about and receiving tons of positive feedback all the way from strangers stopping us on the street to friends and family, the partners knew they could build this into something bigger.
So on March 15, 2025, the partnership became incorporated under the name "AME RANGELANDS HAT COMPANY LTD." (AME being the first letter of each partner's name)
Since then, the trio has had a great time developing new hats through their long design process to ensure that their standards are being met at every step of the way. Rangelands has now had the pleasure of working with numerous organizations to help grow their brand and has become involved in giving back to the community through supporting charities and providing our products to sponsor individuals and events.
